Andreas Klippert studied conducting at the State University of Music in Mannheim. His engagements have taken him to venues including the Saarpolygon Opera Festival, theatres in Nuremberg, Aachen, Weimar and Maribor, and numerous orchestras both in Germany and abroad.

His artistic work encompasses a wide repertoire of opera, oratorio and concert works. In addition to standard works such as Humperdinck’s *Hansel and Gretel*, Mozart’s *The Magic Flute*, Verdi’s *Don Carlos* and Bernstein’s *West Side Story*, he has also conducted less frequently performed works such as Franz Liszt’s *The Legend of Saint Elizabeth* and Francis Poulenc’s *La Voix Humaine*. His conducting is characterised by nuanced work on timbre, structural clarity and a sensitivity to instrumental and vocal interpretation.

In numerous silent film concerts, including performances of Charlie Chaplin’s *The Gold Rush* and *The Circus*, Fritz Lang’s *Metropolis* and Sergei Eisenstein’s *Battleship Potemkin*, he established himself as a conductor with a particular flair for the precise synchronisation of image, musical structure and orchestral expression.

In addition to his orchestral work, Andreas Klippert is also deeply committed to vocal music. As musical director of the Chor der KlangVerwaltung and the Vokalwerk at the Heidenheim Opera Festival, he combines choral precision with a keen understanding of the singers’ needs. His varied artistic career is further enriched by numerous productions for renowned conductors and at various festivals.
