A summit meeting of classical music stars in the royal palace
My dear swan! – No other line from Richard Wagner’s “Lohengrin” sums up the diverse programme of the Neuschwanstein Concerts 2026 better than this one.
From 29 July to 2 August, the inner courtyard of Neuschwanstein Castle will once again be transformed into a world-class sound cosmos. The five exclusive open-air concerts in front of the breathtakingly illuminated dream backdrop will be a true summit meeting of the classical music scene. World-class artists present unmistakable arias and works from the Romantic and modern eras, which merge with musical flair and artistic finesse to create a unique overall composition.
Inspired by the UNESCO World Heritage Site itself, the new classical music festival combines artistic excellence, history & modernity to create a unique musical experience.
Goosebumps guaranteed!
29. July – 02. August 2026
In 2026, we will open the Schlossbühne with a world-class orchestra: the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen will breathe new life into the romantic soul of Neuschwanstein and transport the audience into musical dream worlds of deep emotion with masterpieces of Romanticism. Their masterful performance under the baton of Omer Meir Wellber will touch the soul and amaze the heart. With every note played, the orchestra refines the deepest emotions of Romanticism into a sublime magic of sound of incomparable virtuosity, making the past and future visible and opening up a musical dimension in which music and people, space and time transcend – entirely in keeping with the motto of the Neuschwanstein Concerts 2026.

Lively, passionate, and creative, the “Next Generation Evening” brings together different generations and genres. Louis Philippson, a pianist who reimagines classical music with narrative power, spontaneity, and modern media presence, and Esther Abrami, an internationally acclaimed violinist who, with her album “WOMEN,” brings forgotten female composers from centuries past into the spotlight and gives them a powerful voice for the present and future, create a unique musical dialogue.
A sparklingly fresh crossover experience that masterfully interprets tradition, embodies innovation, and makes the future of eternity audible.

The closing evening is themed around UNESCO. Musical excellence, cultural diversity, and artistic passion come together to create a unique experience. The focus is on appreciation and recognition of the World Heritage Site. At the same time, the evening preserves and develops cultural traditions and creates a place of encounter. Respectful of history and at the same time active in shaping it, the unifying power of music is immediately palpable and reveals the uniqueness of one of Europe's most important cultural venues in all its facets.
These become audible when stars of the international classical music scene such as top tenor Piotr Beczala, leading soprano Olga Peretyatko, and mezzo-soprano Nadezhda Karyazina create a dreamlike program with the Munich Symphony Orchestra. One that remains forever unique in its perfection and splendor.
