A summit meeting of classical music stars in the royal palace
My dear swan! – No other line from Richard Wagner’s “Lohengrin” sums up the diverse programme of the Neuschwanstein Concerts 2025 better than this one.
From 1 to 5 August, the inner courtyard of Neuschwanstein Castle will once again be transformed into a world-class sound cosmos. The five exclusive open-air concerts in front of the breathtakingly illuminated dream backdrop will be a true summit meeting of the classical music scene. World-class artists present unmistakable arias and works from the Romantic and modern eras, which merge with musical flair and artistic finesse to create a unique overall composition.

The prelude begins in a highly energetic to dizzying and definitely passionate manner. The dazzling musicality of the OPUS Classical Award-winning Chamber Artists (CHAARTS) already wowed audiences last summer. Together with Jonathan Tetelmann, the latest promise to lovers of romantic opera, and soprano Chelsea Zurflüh, who recently won the "SWR Young Opera Stars 2025" award, they deliberately delve into the depths with emotion and dynamism to make the surface sparkle all the more.

She is like a storm: spirited, haunting, but also seductive and just as enthusiastic and inspiring as the Chamber Artists (CHAARTS). Together, the musicians present romantic raptures and exciting emotional depths in Mahler's Rückert Lieder and excerpts from Georges Bizet's opera Carmen.

The internationally acclaimed artists Rolando Villazón, Golda Schultz and Ludovic Tézier crown the castle concerts on the final evening at Neuschwanstein. At the grand finale in the castle courtyard, the names of the soloists are as impressive as those of the composers: Mozart, Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini, Mascagni, Lehar. As at the beginning, the conclusion of the Neuschwanstein Concerts 2025 will once again be a passionate journey through the world of opera. This is possible with the renowned Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and the orchestra's high musical standard. The orchestra's much-praised precision and high-energy, detail-obsessed playing are rooted in the solo virtuosity and chamber music expertise of each individual orchestra member.
