2025 is the year for pianist, social media creator and presenter Louis Philippson: he is releasing his debut album “Exposition” and the follow-up album “My Way” with the MDR Symphony Orchestra on Sony Music, going on two solo tours and writing his final dissertations for his two degree subjects. The “Gen Z classical star” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) first made a name for himself with his vlogs, humorous posts and captivating piano performances on social media, which have already won him 800,000 followers on TikTok and 235,000 on Instagram. In autumn 2024, he successfully took part in the “Night of the Proms” concert series in major venues across Belgium and Germany, alongside pop stars such as Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, Shaggy and Max Giesinger. He played to audiences of 200,000 people during the tour, prompting BR Klassik to remark: “In Louis Philippson, classical music has found a new rock star.” He was the only German artist to date to be listed by the British classical radio station Classic FM in its “Top 30 Artists under 30 to watch in 2025”.

In February 2025, his debut album *Exposition* was released, accompanied by a live performance on ZDF’s *Morgenmagazin*. The album immediately entered the official classical charts and the Top 30 of the German download charts. NDR Kultur named him “this year’s new discovery” and remarked: “(Louis) combines classical and contemporary music with incredible ease”. Louis Philippson’s first solo tour, comprising twelve concerts in April 2025, sold out in no time. Further live dates for autumn 2025 in venues with a capacity of up to 3,000 are well on their way to selling out.

Louis’ musical talent was spotted on YouTube by his future piano teacher when he was just seven years old. He became a young student at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf and has since taken part in 22 national and international piano competitions. Alongside his musical career, he is studying International Business and has worked as a presenter for Toggo and ZDF.

Louis Philippson can already look back on a series of outstanding collaborations with artists from a wide variety of genres. Most recently, he has appeared as a guest artist on recordings by concert pianist Martin Stadtfeld, violinist and influencer Esther Abrami, and Italian TikTok pianist Gabriele Bagnati. A particular highlight is his collaboration with singer Teya Dora on an acoustic version of her global Top 50 hit “Dzanum”. In 2023, Louis Philippson produced the theme song for Germany’s most successful teen reality series, ZDF’s “Mädchen WG”, together with KATI K. He appeared in the online music formats “Songpoeten” and “Made it” alongside pop singers ela, Esther Graf and Julia Meladin, as well as cellist Raphaela Gromes.

Louis Philippson will be the soloist at the concert on 30 July 2026
