Jasmin Tabatabai

Jasmin Tabatabai is a German actress and jazz singer with Iranian roots. She became known for her leading role LUNA in Katja von Garnier’s music film BANDITS (1997), for which she also composed a large part of the soundtrack.
Her important works include GRIPSHOLM, VIER MINUTEN, FREMDE HAUT, as well as numerous television films. She was the dubbing voice of Marion Cotillard in LA VIE EN ROSE and Chiara Mastroianni in PERSEPOLIS and has recorded numerous audio books such as LOLITA LESEN IN TEHERAN. In 2012 she received the JAZZ ECHO as Best Female Singer National. Her third jazz album JAGD AUF REHE was released in May 2020.
She is currently in front of the camera for a new season of LETZTE SPUR BERLIN as Mina Amiri, the first female detective of Iranian origin on German television. She lives in Berlin with her partner Andreas Pietschmann and their three children.
